Blueberry Lavender Spritzer
Happy Friday!
This is my first cocktail post on my blog. It involves a blueberry simple syrup… and fresh lavender…and Prosecco.
So yeah, this deserves a post.
This is a drink my boyfriend Chad makes. And the first time he made it for me, I was hooked.
I mean, come on. Just look at these blueberry ice cubes!
And anything topped with Prosecco. I mean…
Chad is a food blogger too, and in fact, this is a recipe he posted on his blog, The Cutting Board (check it out at amanscuttingboard.blogspot.com).
Dating another foodie brings new food combos to our kitchen almost daily. Now, our eating lifestyles do not always jive: his meat and potatoes vs. my fruit and yogurt. But, sometimes that’s what makes it fun. It’s allowed us to try new foods we would not have had otherwise.
Two people cooking together in the kitchen or shopping at the market can learn from each other.
When I first sipped this, it felt like vacation. Like I had no worries in the world that day.
So, no matter where you are or how hectic your week has been, have over some friends, open your windows, pour a few of these drinks into mason jars…and just enjoy life at that very moment.
Because life is good.
