10 Ideas to Give Random Acts of Kindness In Your Life
There is one thing I love about February - as hearts fill the aisles and my kids pick out their valentines – and it’s that it reminds me how love really can change our world and our everyday lives. Who do we show love to? Who do our kids see us showing love to?
Now, I'm not just talking about with significant others. I'm talking about the kindness that comes with showing others you appreciate, value and care about them.
More and more, I've been looking for ways to share little random acts of kindness in our everyday lives to make this world a more loving place. And this doesn’t have to just be for February. These are ideas we can do any day and month of the year.
Here are 10 ideas to share RANDOM acts of KINDNESS IN YOUR LIFE:
Gift your neighbor homemade cookies, just because.
Give your teachers in your life a handwritten card to say how much you appreciate them. Even if it's just an ordinary Monday, our small acts of love go so far for our teachers.
Offer to take a photo for a family you see that is trying to take a selfie.
Text a friend to check in.
Drop a home cooked meal, take out or a favorite coffee order off to a new mom or a friend who is going through a lot.
Meet a friend for coffee or a walk.
Donate a book to a little library in your neighborhood.
Hold the door open for someone behind you.
Leave a small basket of snacks out for your delivery people.
Call a family member and ask about their day.
It’s amazing how these little pieces of kindness can add up!
I truly feel like kindness is contagious. When someone does somerthing kind for me, it makes me feel special and good inside, and it inspires me to pass it on to someone else. It rubs off on you! And then you pay it forward to the next person, and they do the same, and so on…
Comment on this post if you have another way to show kindess! I love sharing ideas and being inspired.
